A little about me.
I’ve been curious about how things work for as long as I can remember.
I’ve always been drawn to numbers and the structure behind systems. It’s never been enough for something to just work — I’ve always wanted to understand why it works.
That curiosity eventually turned into software.
But for me, software has never been just about writing code. It’s a way to build systems that are reliable and practical, and that hold up in real-world use.
I currently work as a Product Engineer at Emirates NBD in Dubai.
I look after a banking platform used by around 300 people across six countries. My work goes beyond building features: I focus on making sure systems run smoothly, perform well, and behave correctly in production. Once something is live, I still see it as my responsibility.
I also care a lot about the product side.
It’s not just about how something is built, but why it’s built and what it means for the user.
Outside of work, I build my own apps.
I turn ideas into products and take them all the way to release. Four are on the App Store, one of them also on Google Play, and a few more run on the web, from an AI portrait studio to a currency converter. Some start as experiments; the ones that stick grow into real products.

Outside of work I build small things — sometimes to test an idea, sometimes because I wanted it myself. A few of them below.
Where I’ve worked, and what it taught me.
- Take ownership of the technical delivery and day-to-day operations of a vendor-developed banking platform used by around 300 people across six countries.
- Deliver around 8 releases and 5–6 change requests a year across 2 production environments (including disaster recovery) and 3 test environments, along with integrations with the bank's internal systems, working closely with internal stakeholders and the software vendor.
- Investigate production issues and identify root causes; the process improvements that followed reduced recurring incidents by 40% within six months.
- Write SQL queries (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE) for analytics and for workarounds on production issues.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and Copilot in technical workflows and vendor collaborations to help the team work more efficiently.
- Joined as the company's first in-house developer and soon took the lead of a four-person engineering team.
- Led sprint planning and day-to-day development while staying hands-on with both mobile and backend code.
- Built and maintained the React Native application and its Node.js / TypeScript backend services.
- Delivered new features for a product with over 10,000 active users while focusing on keeping the system stable and healthy.
- Worked across nearly every part of the product, gaining hands-on experience with both the technical and practical sides of building software.
